105mm f/2.8 macro lens from Sigma

Posted on Oct 8, 2020

The new Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art brings macro photographers an appealing new lens option. The mid-telephoto was built with full-frame mirrorless cameras in mind, available for both E-mount and L-mount users.

Sigma assures sharp performance from close up to infinity, and users will find a host of advanced functions. These include an aperture ring which can be de-clicked for micro adjustments or locked to avoid accidents, a focus limiter switch and an AFL lock button.

Thanks to a Hyper-Sonic Motor, autofocus is fast, quiet and highly accurate – faster still when in limited focus mode. AF is also optimised with the latest face and eye detection.

For getting up close and personal with potentially messier subjects, the Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art is also dust- and splash-proof.

The lens will be available globally from 23 October 2020, priced at £699.99.
