Canon’s RF 600mm f/11 IS STM and RF 800mm f/11 IS STM lenses raised a few eyebrows when they were announced, but they offer photographers the chance to reach extreme focal lengths at much more affordable prices than more traditional lenses cost. If you are interested in such a lens, this great video review takes a look at the RF 600mm f/11 IS STM and the kind of performance you can expect from it.
Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this excellent video review takes a look at the RF 600mm f/11 IS STM. While the 600mm f/11’s maximum aperture surely turns off some photographers, it does offer some advantages, most notable being its price and far smaller size than something like a 600mm f/4, making it a great option to toss in a bag and take with you for occasional shots on a hike or the like. And thankfully, with the stellar autofocus and ISO performance of cameras like the new EOS R5, the f/11 aperture is less of a hindrance in practice than it might have been even just a few years ago. Check out the video above for Frost’s full thoughts on the lens.
