B&H Introduces Huge Discount on High-Megapixel Canon 5DS and 5DS R Cameras

There has understandably been a lot of chatter about Canon’s new mirrorless cameras, but their highest-megapixel cameras are actually two DSLRs: the 5DS and 5DS R. Right now, B&H is offering significantly deep discounts on both cameras, allowing you to pick one up for almost 65% off the normal price.

The Canon 5DS and Canon 5DS R are Canon’s monster 50-megapixel DSLRs, and for anyone shooting the EF mount, they offer the ultimate in resolution, with both featuring 50.6-megapixel sensors. In fact, the 5DS and 5DS R remain Canon’s highest-resolution cameras, beating out even the new R5. Both cameras feature a built-in time-lapse function, 61-point autofocus system (with 41 cross-type points), crop shooting at 1.3x and 1.6x, advanced mirror control mechanism for reduced vibrations, anti-flicker technology, and 5 fps continuous burst rate. The major difference is that the R version cancels the effect of the low-pass filter, offering increased resolution with better detail, though this increases the risk of moiré.

Right now, B&H is offering the 5DS for $1,299, a discount of $2,400 from the normal price of $3,699, and the 5DS R for $1,499, a discount of $2,400 from the normal price of $3,899. You can get both cameras here: Canon 5DS and Canon 5DS R.
