Nikon Z 70-200mm F2.8 VR S sample gallery updated

Samuel Dilworth

Ludicrously high optical performance is evident in many of these pictures.

But the cost – about 1.5 kg and nearly three grand – turns it into an object of curiosity for most. It’s a pity. Not long ago an f/2.8 tele-zoom was a reasonable choice for many amateurs. Then again, we needed f/2.8 back then and now it’s an optional luxury.

This paradox of fast lenses costing more than ever while being less necessary than ever is kinda awkward, huh?
